Temperamento

Common concerns include hip and elbow dysplasia, which can lead to mobility issues, as well as heart conditions such as dilated cardiomyopathy. They may also be susceptible to bloat (gastric torsion), a life-threatening condition requiring immediate intervention. Regular veterinary check-ups are essential, and screenings for joint and cardiac health are recommended, especially for breeding dogs. Mastiffs have a lifespan of about 7-10 years. Preventive care like maintaining a healthy weight, feeding them a balanced diet, and providing moderate exercise can help mitigate some risks. Owners should also monitor their Mastiff for skin issues, like irritations or infections, due to their loose folds of skin.
